There aren't a lot of people reading 3-D comics because there aren't a lot of people making 3-D comics. The storytellers behind The Joyners in 3D discovered their own set of challenges as they refined available technology to deliver a new kind of 3-D comic experience. Creators David Marquez (Ultimate Comics Spider-Man, All-New X-Men), R.J. Ryan (Syndrome), and Tara Rhymes join host Moises Chiullan and myself as we talk about our gateways into comics fandom as well as the highlights (and lowlights) in the history of 3-D comics.

In the second half of the show, artist Ian Churchill (Uncanny X-Men, Marineman) talks about the effect Alan Moore's Miracleman had on his own work.

Podcasts: 'The New SNIKT' on ESNfm's All-New Giant Size!

Sometimes, you gotta go creator-owned. In this case, Giant Size, the podcast I co-host alongside Moises Chiullan, has moved from the 5by5 Network to its new home on the all-new Electric Shadow Network (esn.fm). Moises wanted a more consistent schedule, as well as more control over the show's content, and the best way to accommodate that was by going "indie" with his own podcasting group. He has dragged me along, willingly.

And, so, this all-new show is the same as it ever was, only it isn't. On our first episode (!!!) we're joined by Merlin Mann, writer, podcaster, and X-Men fan, who joins us as we dip our toes into the deep, deep pool of Marvel's world of mutants. In the second half, Moises interviews Marvel vet Herb Trimpe, well-known for his long runs on The Incredible Hulk and G.I. Joe.

Neal Adams is a comics legend. He's had a career revival of late, by doing some recent high-profile work for the Big Two and fully embracing his veteran status as new fans express interest in his older work (particularly on Batman and Green Arrow). He's also extremely passionate about science - particularly a theory that the Earth is growing - and is willing to discuss this theory with any curious party. The curious party in this case is Moises Chuillan, but don't worry that it's all science talk! There's also a discussion on Adams' role in creator rights in comics, in this slightly different episode of Giant Size.
